Design Inspiration For Your Photos

With the holidays in full swing, there are few gadgets getting more action that our camera phones these days. Between Instagram and Facebook and selfies and elfies and dogs and blogs...holy photo moly. The holidays are a great time to capture our favorite moments for sure, but what to do with all of these favorite photos?

I was trying to think of some new fun ideas for a commercial project I'm working on and I remembered some inspiration photos I took at the Boston Design Center a couple of months ago. The designers incorporated a rod hanging system for the artwork which I think looks pretty great.
(And of course everything looks better on wallpaper! That grasscloth is so fabulous!!))

One of my favorite sources for art frames is Framebridge. They have a great website for SUPER, easy custom framing, in addition to an app that lets you preview your own art in the new frame! I love the Cairo burl wood frame and the Tiger wood frame.

Hanging artwork salon style, like above, is a great way to get the trendy gallery look with a little oomph. This can also be a great DIY project by simply finding your perfect rod and using a hook and chain to systematically hang your artwork. You can find picture rail molding hooks online or check out this tutorial from Little Green Notebook.
